“I am writing this feedback to help anyone facing the loss of a loved one while trying to decide how to proceed with funeral services; I was not asked to provide feedback, nor was I compensated in any way for it. The team at Tribute Memorial Care (I personally interacted with Shane, Bruce, Brandi, Lisa, and Jonathon) helped me and my family during the unexpected loss of my children’s mother which included very complex, split family dynamics. When I reached out to them, I spoke with Shane and was met with sincere empathy, sensitivity, and professionalism. I want to emphasize something very important: Shane and the team did not try to sell me or my family anything. They met us where we were in our situation, discussed realistic options, were transparent with services and costs, and most importantly they listened to us and what we needed. They met our needs and moreover they exceeded our expectations. He and the team communicated openly and often during the process, especially to clarify any of our needs and expectations. I know that when an unexpected death happens it is extremely difficult to work through and consider all of the things that need to happen in the days and weeks following the event, and that there are many places and options to go to for funeral services. I am a retired Air Force veteran, a father of four children, and a person who has a lot of experience with loss and the emotional, mental and physical strain that accompanies it. I have not found any team that I can recommend more than Shane and the team at Tribute Memorial Care to be there with you and to guide you through the difficulties involved with losing a loved one.”

Tribute did an outstanding job during our family's time of grief and sorrow with the sudden and tragic passing of my father. They were kind, professional, and timely and they adhered to masking in their facility and in the service per our request given immunocompromised family members. Moreover, they actually watched the memorial service online (and in person) and grieved with us. They followed up with my mother with frequency, added special and personal touches to the program and to keepsakes for my mother and my young children. I appreciate their care, concern, love and support during a horrific time.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have the need to write another testimonial about yet another funeral so soon after our Daddy, but here we are. Our mother passed to be with the Lord this week and of course, our first contact was to the Tribute team. They were there immediately to respectfully take our mother and prepare her. Even though I am sure they are on a timeline, we were never rushed or felt rushed to let her go. Due to unusual circumstances we requested the funeral director, Shane, meet us in Shawnee to discuss the service. He did not even hesitate and spent the morning and into the afternoon assisting us with the process. I cannot imagine going through this process without the Tribute team. They are always available to us and have allowed us to add "just one more thing" a dozen times! Having had another recent family death in another area of the state, we have unfortunately had experience with a funeral home that was not so respectful of the family and the deceased. It was my first time to be involved with funeral planning while helping my dad make arrangements for his wife (Barbara) who recently passed. Here what I observed in this process. Shane the funeral director was very professional, personable, and most important he listened to my dad. I’ve watched a lot of people deal with people in all kinds of situations, Shane was on point helping my dad. Of course Bruce was helpful with encouraging our family, make sure loose ends of the process was executed, and communicating with us all the details. The personal touch of this whole process moved me. Sure... it’s there everyday job to this this business, but they didn’t make me feel it was just business. They cared!

Tribute Memorial took such great care of our daddy and his celebration of life service! Shane covered every single detail with such kindness & patience and made sure we did not feel rushed to make decisions (this had to be a difficult task dealing with us 4 daughters). Bruce & Shane treated us so well that we felt like they loved & respected our dad as much as we did. They both refreshed the plans with us so that we would know when & where we needed to be on the day of the service so that we could feel comfort in knowing all of our special requests and wishes would happen just the way we hoped they would. Since our dad was a WWII veteran, they both made sure all of the plans for his military service were also taken care of. What an incredible surprise to be escorted all the way to the military cemetery by the Patriot Riders and to be greeted with a couple of sailors!! My dad is surely smiling from heaven. We are so grateful for ALL of the planning and preparing that Shane & Bruce went through for our dad. Bruce had to have been exhausted (like we were) but he still brought all of the flowers to my dad's home AFTER a very long day. He told us that he does not consider what he does a job but instead a service & a privilege Their care and service could not have been more perfect. My dad would be so pleased. From the first telephone call to our last meeting with Shane, the memorial service for our mother was handled with compassion and caring. Shane took the time to learn about our Mom and the things she enjoyed. The entire planning process and service epitomized the name "Tribute". We are grateful for Shane and Bruce who gently led us through this most difficult time. Tribute made planning my daughters cremation and ceremony super easy to understand and they took extra time to make sure I understood and got exactly what i wanted for my daughter. No parent should go through the death of a child. Tribute made me feel like all that matted was her safety. They called when they picked her up from the hospital, and they called once they got her to the funeral home. Amazing staff, amazing service, amazing experience.

Tribute handled my father's funeral. From the beginning, they assured me they would take very good care of my father and the entire process. They successfully worked extremely hard meeting every possible need no matter how big or small. I cannot say enough about the Tribute care team. From the first day I met them to the day after the service they were heartfelt and loving with my entire family. Bruce nailed it with officiating the service and Shane went above and beyond planning my mom's service. They neither one batted an eye about driving to Wapanucka for a graveside service. They even planned a sweet surprise at the end. I am so grateful we used Tribute Memorial Care but I really don't want to have to use them anytime in the near future!! Love you guys and thanks!!!

Tribute Memorial Care was very sympathetic to our needs and were always available for any questions or concerns that we had. Shane and Angela were very nice to work with; as were others in the office with whom we encountered. It was a very sad time for my family and I but they made us all feel like they really cared about our Dad and our feelings. Nothing truly prepares you for the loss of a loved one, especially a sudden loss. My father Lt. Col. MC "Pacer" Faseler passed away in October unexpectedly. In shock and totally unaware about how to progress we called Tribute Memorial Care based on a recommendation of a friend. Tribute was truly professional and extremely helpful walking us through the process. We described our desire to have a "celebration of life" event and not a traditional funeral which was welcomed and respected. Shane took on the job of arranging the details of my fathers interment at Fort Sam Houston which helped me immensely. This allowed me to focus on my Mother and help her face the adjustment of losing my Father. I can't say enough how we appreciated every aspect of our experience with Tribute. The death of my father-in-law, Joseph Harold “Joe” Walden was a tragic and unexpected event. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a week ago, that I would be at his funeral today. I have not had to go thru the experience of planning and executing someone’s funeral before. Tribute Care, most especially Shane Vice and Angela Barbour, helped my family thru a most difficult and trying time. I don’t know what we would have done without them. The funeral was more than I could have hoped for—far beyond my expectations. The extra special touch of releasing balloons as we each remembered a special memory about Joe and playing Boomer Sooner at the very end of the service was absolutely heart-warming. Numerous people remarked that this was one of the best funerals they have attended. Tribute Care got to know us and got a true sense of who Joe Walden was and brought that out during his funeral service. Shane and Angela made us feel like family. Thank you Tribute Care, Shane, and Angela for caring so much.

Thank you so much for the wonderful job performed by the Tribute Memorial Care family to our family. Everyone was so thoughtful, kind, and very caring. This was such a hard time for us, however, the funeral for Florence Nickel Owens was better than we could have ever expected. During the most difficult time in my life, this exceptional group of people not only honored my father. They took care of his survivors. They got to know my father through my sisters and I. All three of us were beaming with pride throughout the service and the funeral precession. I cannot possibly convey my gratitude in the form of text. I just have to say thank you. I went by and visited with Shane and Preston today. They were so wonderful with our situation with Sara. I cannot thank them enough. The work they did on her was outstanding given the conditions they had to work with. We were able to see her and able to allow her friends to see her and to say goodbye. Before Sara, they worked with us on my brother-in-law and mother-in-law as well as other family members. I only have great words for them, the services they provided, and the very personable and professional services they provided. They treat you like one of their own family members. They are very up front, honest, and explain your options without just trying to sell the high priced service items. If you ever find yourself or your family in a loss and need compassionate and understanding people who will step-up and treat you like their own family, I would recommend them with no hesitation. In fact, I have already made my pre-arrangements with them. I'm so glad they decided to re-open a new business after their other service as taken over by a large corporation Being a home town business has many advantages.
